Beyond Pink - A designer bra fashion show
Here I, Carly, am modeling again for Beyond Pink. Last year I modeled for Harlow & Grace Canine Couture’s contribution, “Feathers & Fur” – an exciting mix of greens and blues in a peacock theme. My human co-model wore a feathered bra with detachable wings on the back created from hundreds of peacock feathers. Peacock feathered accents on her hands and shoes completed the ensemble. I wore a teal colored two piece “bra” made of peacock feathers and a coordinating teal skirt. Together the outfit fetched hundreds of dollars to benefit Beyond Pink.
For 2014 I was asked to model for Blackwood Art’s contribution to Beyond Pink. Altered
couture designer, Lynne Blackwood chose a Cleopatra styled theme, human model’s
outfits and bra and of course an elegant gold studded dress and hair piece for
me, Carly to come down the runway in full Egyptian style. This winning
combination fetched: $2,000.00

Beyond Pink is the result of two women, Karla Porter
and Charlie Brewer, who wanted to celebrate the technology called Thermography,
which aids in the early detection of breast disease. Thermography is a FDA approved procedure
proven to be effective in the early detection of breast cancer.
The women’s
goals were to raise awareness of such diseases and Thermography as well as a
way to help provide funding for women who could not otherwise afford this
potentially lifesaving procedure. In the few short years since its inception
Karla, Charlie, and all the contributing designers, participants, sponsors, and
attendees have raised tens of thousands of dollars! If that’s not something to
bark about I don’t know what is. Saving Lives: Celebrating Lives: That’s what Beyond Pink is all about and I, Carly, am thrilled to help make a difference! If you’d like to know more about thermo imaging and/or schedule a consultation call (509) 315-4154. Tell ‘em Carly sent you!
Cancer doesn’t just affect humans. Did you know canine cancer
affects one out of every three dogs? Of those,
over half of them will die of cancer. Learn more
